The X Factor Live Shows Week 1

Tonight was the first week of live performances by the Top 17 contestants of The X Factor.  The productions were pretty good but I still liked the performances at the Judges' Houses last week better than this week.  I totally agree (and guessed) with the choices of the judges.  The weakest five were rightfully eliminated.



Here are my favorite contestants:

1. Melanie Amaro - I predict that she will be the first American X Factor winner
2. Stacy Francis - I liked her outfit, the song choice, and her performance
3. Drew - I love her voice and vocal style, but I did not like the song choice

I liked the performances tonight by these contestants:

1. Astro - impressed by his rapping and stage presence
2. LeRoy Bell - excellent voice but song choice was not very good
3. Lakoda Rayne - I'm beginning to like them

These are my other favorite contestants but I was a little disappointed by their performances tonight:

1. Chris Rene - song choice was not very good
2. InTENsity - more people in the group should have had solo parts instead of the two strongest vocalists
